What is noconflict in jquery

Usually jquery will use $ sign for shorcut in Jquery. if more than one javascript library(backbone,angular etc) is using in a webpage. In this case if we use $ sign as shortcut.Suppose if two framework use the $sign as shortcut in that one will stop working. to handle this we will use 'noconflict'
